HorseXploration is a self-directed learning lesson designed for youth age 12 and over as well as adult horse leaders. This course will allow youth to become part of a horse program regardless of if the own a horse, where they reside, or if they have any existing horse knowledge. This learning lesson housed on eXtension will provide youth with up to date horse information, the ability to link to other online resources as well as access the lesson at any time. Youth will learn about horse breeds, anatomy, health, nutrition, behavior,management, training,and equipment. Furthermore activities will be incorporated which may include horse farm visits, attending horse shows or other activities, interviews with equine professionals and will have information on potential careers and future opportunities.
