Students will learn about host-pathogen interactions and how defense
mechanisms are used by plants. Various methods of improving host
resistance are discussed.
Students will learn how to identify critical environmental factors that
affect pathogen activity and host response to infection as well as how
cultural and chemical management methods impact pathogen populations,
the disease environment, and the physiological function of plant
pathogens.
