Applications of Haploids and Doubled Haploids in Plant Breeding
Enrollment options
This Haploids and Doubled Haploids course is the second in a series of courses on Advanced Plant Breeding topics. It is a dual enrollment course for credit and non credit college graduate level learner and agriculture professionals, offered face-to-face and online simultaneously.
In this course, methods of identifying and/or inducing the haploid state and then the doubling of the haploids will be discussed. All reproductive stages are under genetic control, and the inheritance of all these factors is complex. Most importantly, the practical application of doubled haploids in a breeding program will be discussed.
