Prescribed Rangeland Burning for Extension Personnel is a self-directed course designed for Extension specialists, county agents, and NRCS personnel. Participants will learn about fire effects, fire ecology, fire weather, reasons for burning, etc.

Rangelands play a critical role in the Texas landscape. Understanding the role of rangelands and how to manage rangelands is key for County Extension agents across the state. This course provides a brief introduction to Rangeland Ecology and Management. Sample topics include brush management, drought management, grazing animal management, and plant identification.
