  • Reconocer qué tipos de alimentos se consideran alimentos caseros (o cottage foods) y
  • Conocer las regulaciones que debes seguir para vender alimentos caseros en Idaho.

In this course, you will learn about the Idaho regulations for selling prepared foods. By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify the regulatory authority for Prepared Foods in Idaho.

  • Recognize what types of food establishments are subject to the Idaho Food code.

  • Apply for an Idaho Food permit.


The audience for this course is farmers and ranchers and farm and ranch managers.

By taking this course, students will:

  • Complete a self-assessment of their management style, including preferences, strengths and stressors; 
  • Identify strategies for improving communication with employees, customers and family members; and
  • Identify action steps for building more effective and successful crews on their farms in the coming growing season.
