Smart Choice/Smart Use Instructor Preparation: This course is self-guided with elements that provide content, give you opportunities to engage, and review the material. If you wish to become certified to teach any of the Smart Choice/Smart Use modules, you must complete this course. It is divided into these three main sections:
* Theoretical Framework - This block provides you with the theoretical framework that guided the development of the Smart Choice / Smart Use programs.
* Adult Learning Theory - This block provides insight on adult learning theory. Each of the Smart Choice / Smart Use modules were developed using a theoretical framework and adult learning theory.
* Program Requirements - Here outlined are the program requirements necessary to receive access to the materials.

This course examines the evolution of the global bioeconomy and major drivers behind its growth while providing detailed business and financial training. By understanding the forces behind the growth of the bioeconomy, students can identify features in products and services that can potentially capture value (profit) in this sector. The course provides basic to complex conversion economics and financial concepts as well as business tools for non-financial trained students. At the end of the course, students will be capable of analyzing and screening opportunities for profit while promoting the adoption of bio-based products and thus meet the growing demand for sustainable goods.

Fundamentals of Agricultural Credit Analysis is a self directed course for beginning agricultural lenders and beginning farmers. In this course participants will learn how to analyze financial statements to make credit decisions. In addition, the farmer will learn how to use financial statements to make better management decisions.
