The Wildlife Damage Management Advisor Course focuses on techniques for resolving conflicts with wildlife that are based on the principles of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Several important topics are addressed, such as safety, wildlife diseases, animal biology, control techniques, pesticides, and ethics. Extension Educators/Agents, Master Gardener volunteers, and other non-licensed people who provide advice for resolving human-wildlife conflicts will find this information helpful.
This course has been approved for the following credits in North Carolina:
- Approved for up to three hours of continuing education for the NC State Extension Master Gardener program, contingent on approval from your county Extension agent.
- North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDA&CS) - Pesticides Division have approved this course for 2 hours of pesticide applicator recertification credit in the following categories: B, G, L, N, O D, and X.
- North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDA&CS) - Structural Division have approved this course for 1 hour of general credit (1G).
- NC Wildlife Resources Commission - Wildlife Management Division has approved this course for 1 hour of Wildlife Resource Credit.
Obtaining Course Credit Master Gardeners need only download and submit the completion certificate to your supervising Extension agent for approval. For all other course credit, follow the directions in the Module WDM Course Completion to obtain credit(s) in the proper category (which includes submitting the Verification Form, and we will notify the appropriate agency. Please allow up to 30 days for the course credit to be applied.
