I am excited to be a part of the Master Garden's cohort for 2025.  I am a newly retired Montgomery County Middle School Assistant Principal and math teacher.  I have been married for 40 years to a pilot.  I am a mother of two and a grandmother of four!  My garden is on a slope and has a small "stream" (waterfall feature), "small pond" - cattle trough, a bog (rainwater collection area for our row of houses).  I plant mainly in raised beds and pots.  I also have a small 4x8 greenhouse that I am not utilizing to its full capacity (need to learn how to do this better!). Though I grow vegetables and fruit, my main interest is in cultivating flowers that I can dry.  

I raise houseplants and I have a hydroponic garden (Gardyn) on which I grow greens for eating, flowers for viewing and drying, and some veg.

I garden with an English Mastiff named Alli - which is a total challenge!
