Dr. Jane Frankenberger is a professor and Extension agricultural engineer in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Purdue University. She came to Purdue in 1996 after working in agricultural development for 8 years in Africa (Senegal and the Democratic Republic of Congo). At Purdue, she leads research and outreach programs in agricultural water management, drinking water protection, and watershed modeling, and is director of the 12-state “Transforming Drainage” project focused on increasing the resiliency of drained agricultural land. In 2005, she brought together people from agencies throughout the state to form the Indiana Watershed Leadership Academy. A highlight of each of the 14 years she has led the Academy is working with people that are enthusiastic about protecting Indiana’s waters and seeking new skills to become more effective. https://engineering.purdue.edu/~frankenb/
