Fit and Healthy Kids - Challenging Behaviors

This course is part of the Fit and Healthy Kids series. The Fit and Healthy Kids Series on-demand classes consist of 2-hour of online course work at your own pace. A team of University of Nebraska Extension Professionals offers the Fit and Healthy Kids series on-demand programming to help increase the use of best practices in caring for and educating young children across the state.
Brief Description of Training: Learn about the meaning behind behaviors and supporting early childhood mental health. Join us to explore challenging behaviors, warning signs, beneficial resources, and the importance of your role in the childcare environment. Learn about the importance of building partnerships with families and how to bring your concerns forward to parents.
As a result of this training participants will:
1. Observe behavioral issues that are not typical for a child’s age and temperament.
2. Talk with parents about their child’s behavioral issues.
3. Access resources for the parent to help the child.
