This course is part of the Fit and Healthy Kids series. The Fit and Healthy Kids Series on-demand classes consist of 2-hour of online course work at your own pace. A team of University of Nebraska Extension Professionals offers the Fit and Healthy Kids series on-demand programming to help increase the use of best practices in caring for and educating young children across the state.
Brief Description of Training: This presentation provided learners with an introduction to autism spectrum disorder.
As a result of this training participants will:
1. Learn how to identify the signs and symptoms of autism in their childcare setting
2. Learn strategies for discussing the diagnosis with caregivers.
3. Next steps for accessing diagnosis and support.
