This course is part of the Fit and Healthy Kids series. The Fit and Healthy Kids Series on-demand classes consist of 2-hour of online course work at your own pace. A team of University of Nebraska Extension Professionals offers the Fit and Healthy Kids series on-demand programming to help increase the use of best practices in caring for and educating young children across the state.

Brief Description of Training:  This presentation provides learners with a brief overview of autism spectrum disorder.

As a result of this training participants will:

1.     Learn strategies they can embed within the daily routines of childcare settings
 to help support children with autism.

2.     Learn the signs and symptoms of autism spectrum disorder.

3.     Use the necessary steps to access support for a child with autism.
