This course is part of the Fit and Healthy Kids series. The Fit and Healthy Kids Series on-demand classes consist of 2-hour of online course work at your own pace. A team of University of Nebraska Extension Professionals offers the Fit and Healthy Kids series on-demand programming to help increase the use of best practices in caring for and educating young children across the state.

Brief Description of Training:  Engaging in block play provides a vast array of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematical (STEM) concepts. This training is designed to aid participants in designing environments that promote STEM thinking through block play.

 As a result of this training participants will:

1.     Share the benefits of block play to parents.
2.     Use specific strategies in block play based on a child's developmental level.
3.     BUILD more math talk into centers and in-home care.
