Fertilizer Applicator Certification Training
Enrollment options
All current certified fertilizer applicator on-line program participants must successfully complete their testing and submission of the CFA request to VDACS by September 1, 2020 as the current website ceases to exist on that date.
You will be able to re-enroll in the CFA program at https://register.ext.vt.edu/search/publicCourseSearchDetails.do?method=load&courseId=1208465; however, there will be a minimal fee for enrollment ($10) and all testing modules will have to be completed again in the new system, regardless if they have been completed in the previous CFA program.
Fertilizer Applicator Certification Training (FACT) is a cooperative effort of Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE), Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS), and the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). The training consists of 10 online, self-paced modules, which cover the knowledge areas in which one must be proficient in order to become a Certified Fertilizer Applicator (CFA) in Virginia. Individuals who successfully complete all 10 modules will receive proof of satisfactory completion of the training, which can be submitted to VDACS as part of the CFA online application.
