From Scraps to Soil: Vermont Composting Short Course
This course offers an in-depth study of backyard and community-level composting. It covers the many ways to turn food scraps and yard trimmings into nutrient-rich compost. It is offered by the University of Vermont Extension Community Horticulture Program with funding support from the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources. Registration for the 2026 course is open through 9/4/2026. The fee (which covers all materials) is $50 for Vermonters and $150 for all other students. See our program website for more information.
