I am a legal resident of Florida. My wife and I moved there in 1996 due to a job opportunity - to be founding faculty in the FGCU Physical Therapy Program. Vermont is home for Sharon and I like to think of myself as being adopted by Vermont. We both went to UVM, worked at (or associated with) UVM, had a home in Georgia, VT and started our family there. In 2006 we bought property in Enosburg and are now semi-retired "snow-birds" living in VT 5.5 months out of the year. We own 12.5 acres with over 10 of the acres wooded. I have a 1-mile trail on the property that I enjoy. I take more ambitious hikes in the Green Mountains. I am a member of the Green Mountain Club, and now volunteer as a corridor monitor. My GMC contact encouraged me to take the Forest Pest First Detector course. I have a life-long abiding affinity for forests, and I hope this course helps me provide a little care for that place that gives me so much.
