Retired university professor with a history of doing research in local crafts, technology, and sustainability in far flung, remote locations around the world. Special focus on the design of low cost and accessible prosthesis for rural communities that have suffered from land mine injuries. Now engaged in pursuing my passion of sawing, hammering, bending, and forming precious metals. If not in the studio you'll find me somewhere on our property, digging hugelkultur mounds, planting native seeds, or just watching bees zip in and out of their top bar hives. I also belong to the Halten Garden Club and have just completed a Permaculture Design Certificate from the Permaculture Research Institute in Australia.
