Hello!  I am Dr. Amy Schweitzer, a public health nutritionist and adjunct professor for the University of the District of Columbia.  I received my PhD in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Maryland. I have been practicing in the field of Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition for over 30 years. I enjoy demonstrating how nutrition can save lives and health care woes, not to mention dollars. I believe it is vital to participate in the process of learning. Therefore, expect to contribute to discussions and share your experiences with others about the topics presented.  Sharing thoughts, ideas and experiences helps us all to learn better.
