Susan Milender is a North Dakota State University Family and Community Wellness Agent for Barnes County, ND.  She received her B.S. in Food & Nutrition, a second B.S. in Corporate & Community Fitness from NDSU and a Master of Education degree from Valley City State University.  After working as a licensed registered dietitian nutritionist in a clinical setting, Susan worked for 20 years as the Nutrition Services Director at Valley City Public Schools before coming to NDSU Extension.  She is enjoying her time working as a community educator.  Personally, Susan stays active with her family of four adult children and two grandchildren.  Her favorite activities include spending time with family, any outdoor activity, and of course food whether it be growing it, cooking it or eating it.  Susan resides in Valley City and can be contacted at susan.milender@ndsu.edu.
