Elderberry juice is very dark in color and contains powerful antioxidants, so it is used to treat colds. Elderberries are one of the richest sources of anthocyanin pigments, the main substance that gives natural red pigment. The color of anthocyanin-like substances varies depends on pH. If the pH is less than 7, it will appear red. We extract the red pigment from the European elderberry (Sambucus nigra) and offer it to our customers in both powder and liquid form to choose from.
