Intended for secondary educators and their students, this curriculum will facilitate experimental design, data collection, and analysis of results through the use of a new online web-based, and mobile-optimized tool, AgConnect. AgConnect will include prompts to choose an experimental design, data sheets, an informal lab notebook for observations, data analysis tools, and results display pages. In addition to functioning as an online application that follows the scientific method, AgConnect, will act as an online networking platform, connecting classrooms to other classes in regions nearby and around the globe.  Students will be able to connect with a region of interest and follow each other’s experiment progress. The complementary AgConnect curriculum will include guiding questions so students can in engage in peer-to-peer learning and sharing about 1) the relationships between environmental conditions, suitable crops, economic impacts and cultural connections; 2) relevant agricultural issues, questions, and potential solutions unique to each region; 3) comparison of experimental process, challenges, ‘a-ha’ moments, and results.
