Farmers and representatives from agribusiness, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and universities gathered in 2016 to form the Northeast Cover Crops Council (NECCC). Organizational objectives include: define knowledge gaps, foster multi-state/multi-institutional research and collaboration with farmers, report cover crop best management practices, and develop web-based cover crop decision support tools to promote cover crop adoption and maximize cover crop benefits accrued.
