Biology and Management of the Northern Bobwhite” was designed to teach students key science and math principles as they pertain to natural resources management and look at the decline of quail in our state. Information is provided in an online format.

Data collection, analyses, and interpretation are all critical skills and processes in the management of our natural resources.  This lesson plan involves the high school student in all phases of this process using real world scenarios that occur across Texas. The material is organized into distinct lesson plans with background reading, lessons, and tests. In addition to the classroom aspects to this lesson, it is my hope that classes can participate in field exercises to put their classroom experience into action.

Thanks for your interest in introducing this pertinent and practical natural resource lesson plan to your students.  If you are interested in the course please contact Dr. Jim Cathey, jccathey@ag.tamu.edu
