This course will be accepted by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) as 2 hrs of recertification credit for currently licensed CFAs and Trained Technicians. 

It contains 2 modules , and each module contains 2 videos that are approximately 30 min in length and a quiz that you must pass with a score of 7 out of 10 to pass within 3 attempts. You will need a good internet connection, and a computer that can play video for this course. In the course the basics of soil sampling, as well as PPE, SDS, handling, transporting and storing fertilizers will be detailed.

You are responsible for submitting the certificate to VDACS. Instructions for submission are included in this course.

You are invited to join a FREE 2 hour webinar that will be accepted by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) as 2 hrs of recertification credit for currently licensed CFAs and Trained Technicians. The webinar takes place on Thursday June 21st from 10 am - 12 pm Eastern Time and you will be required to answer 7 out of 10 questions correctly before 11:55 PM on Friday June 22 on a quiz after the webinar (Open note -- handouts will be available--and it can be taken up to 3 times). 

The basics of soils sampling and what those results mean, as well as PPE, SDS, handling, transporting and storing fertilizers will be detailed. Each webinar participant must register as an individual (note that webinars can still be viewed as a group) and after the webinar each registrant must login individually and successfully complete a survey and quiz in order to obtain their certificate of completion.  

You are then responsible for submitting the certification to VDACS.  Instructions for submission are included in this course. 

Group Viewers: To view the webinar as a group every member of your group will need to separately register for the course prior to the webinar on June 21.  On the day of the webinar, have one person from the group log into this site to view the webinar with the rest of the group.  Watch the webinar and pay attention there will be a quiz to verify attendance.  After the webinar is completed each person will need to log into this site using their ID and password to take the survey and quiz before 11:55 PM ET on Friday June 22.
