  • Ticks and Tick-borne Diseases: Lyme disease, blacklegged ticks and more is a self-directed online course for hunters, gardeners, university extension employees and volunteers, natural resource managers, veterinary professionals,and others. By completing this course learners wil be able to:

    - describe basic tick biology
    - identify common ticks of the Midwest
    - list common tick-borne diseases and identify their tick vectors
    - summarize preventive measures to prevent tick bites
    - locate factsheets, websites and other tick and tick-borne disease resources.

    This program qualifies for 2 CE hours from the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board.
