In the Preserve @ Home course, students will be introduced to food safety and food preservation science, gain an understanding of the principles and science behind foodborne illnesses and food preservation methods and be able to apply these principles to safely preserve food by methods of boiling water canning, pressure canning, pickling, freezing and drying.

Finding the right ingredients for staying fit and healthy can be challenging, which foods to eat more of, which to eat less of? How much physical activity is required and what kind? Helping people find that recipe for success is the goal of a 7 week, on-line program sponsored by UNL Extension called ‘Recipe for Healthier Living with Food & Fitness.’ The program features PowerPoint presentations, videos, and handouts delivered by Extension Educators stationed across Nebraska.

Creating Balance with Food & Fitness program is a series of instructor-led courses. Participants will develop goals to improve or maintain good health by learning about balancing calories to manage weight, knowing your health numbers, foods and food components to reduce, foods and nutrients to increase, and physical activity to good health.

Alternatives to Anger is a blended course for adults with anger and stress. This course is an educational series who want to better manage their anger and stress at home and in the workplace. This site is only for SNAP-Ed Program Coordinators and Administrators. Members of the Community Nutrition Education - SNAP-Ed PCoP will discuss topics related to specific programs, budget materials, and evaluation resources to support low-income individuals and families.
